images29th Annual Hapi-ness 5k

The 29th annual Hapi-ness 5k will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2015. This event was established in 1987 by the ninth grade class at LJHS in memory of their classmate, Hapi Patterson, who passed away that year from leukemia.

Proceeds from the Hapi-ness 5k go to Laramie families who have major expenses due to a severe medical condition. After a quarter of century of growth, fun, and service to the Laramie community, the Hapi-ness 5k has helped over forty-three families overcome major financial struggles. 

To sign up for the 29th annual Hapi-ness 5k please go to Runnercard.com. The cost of the race is $15.00  per person for the entry fee and a cotton t-shirt or $20 per person for the entry fee and a technical t-shirt. The race begins promptly at 9:00 am at Laramie Junior High School. 

Awards will be given out for various age groups. Door prizes, donated by various Laramie businesses and families, will also be handed out after the race.

April Newsletter


The Ninth Grade Dance will be held on Saturday April 25 from 7:00-10:00. We are looking for parents to volunteer for set up after school on Friday the 24th, as chaperones during the dance, and to clean up afterwards.

We need as many people as possible for set up and clean up. About ten people per chaperoning shift would be great. Shifts are 7-8:30 and 8:30-10. The Google doc is set up for anyone to add information, just follow the link.

After School Study Club is offered Monday-Thursday each week that school is in session. Students need to be signed in by 3:05 pm and must bring all learning  materials with them. Bus transportation will provided at 4:00 pm for the students who have signed in. For any questions regarding after school tutoring, contact Janet Johnson at LJHS.


Powerschool & Infosnap information has been mailed/emailed home for your students. We ask that you use your snapcode to update your student’s information for the 2014-2015 school year. This information must be updated each year and students will not be allowed to go on school sponsored trips until the information is updated by a parent/guardian. Powerschool is an invaluable tool for parents to monitor their students grades, assignments, and  lunch balance. To add money to your student’s lunch account please use the following link.
