2015-2016 End of School Information

*Fine cards are going home with students on Thursday, May 26. Those students owing fines need to bring payment on Friday, May 27 along with their fine card. Any student who does not return a fine card will be assessed a $1.00 fee for a replacement card. Cash or checks will be accepted for fine payments and checks should be made out to LJHS.  We will be processing fine cards 1st hour on Friday morning. 

*We have many items in our lost and found, such as clothes, coats, lunch boxes, phones, eye glasses, shoes, etc.. Please have your student check in the main office, the stage in study hall, or in the gym for lost items. Anything not claimed by 11:30 on Friday, May 27 will be donated. 

*Due to LHS’ students being taken home mid-day on Thursday, May 26, there will not be any buses running from LJHS to LHS after school at 3:00 pm. Students will have to catch their bus at the junior high and not at the high school. 

*Friday, May 27 and Tuesday, June 1 are half days. Students will be released from school at 11:23 am.

Fall Sports Night at 5:30 pm in the LJHS Gym

We will presenting information regarding expectations from athletes and families. We will also be collecting completed sports physicals, code of conducts, and activity fees. Please see each individual sport’s webpage for information regarding schedules.

WEB Training from 8:00 am – 1:30 pm

Our WEB leaders will attend training in preparation for orientations and the school year.

Fall Sports Begin
*Cross Country at 10:00 am
*Football
     8th grade equipment check-out at 1:00 pm
     7th grade equipment check out at 2:00 pm
          Practice for both grades at 3:00 pm
*Volleyball
     7th grade at 3:15 pm
     8th grade at 5:15 pm

Schedules for returning 7th & 8th grade students will be available after 10:00 am. All 6th grade students & 7th grade students coming from IPES and Linford will get theirs at orientation on August 17.

6th & 7th grade orientation from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
This is for 6th grade and new to LJHS 7th grade students only. Students will meet in the gym for various activities and information with our WEB leaders.

MAKE-UP SNOW DAY

Albany County School District One must make up the missed day of April 26thdue to widespread power outages.  The district is mandated to have 175 days of student contact.  Tuesday May 31st will be a school day for all students.  It will be an early release day and there will be no lunch served.  If you have any questions or need further information please contact your principal or call District Administration Office at (307)721-4400.



LJHS Most Cost Effective Remedy Study Report

The purpose of a “Most Cost Effective Remedy” (MCER) study is to evaluate multiple options for remedies to either capacity or building deficiency issues. This study is focused on the LJHS, and its upcoming transforation into a 6-8 grade school.
