How Do We Decide To Hold an Inside Recess at Slade School?

Temperature:

Based on the information on this page, we hold recess inside if the "feels like" temperatures are below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Above zero and we will hold recess outside.

**Please note that most weather apps use weather information from the Laramie Airport. Conditions at the airport are frequently different than in town. Using our own weather station helps us determine what is best for our students at our specific location.

Air Quality:

We use www.purpleair.com and the sensor closest to Slade at War Memorial Stadium. We will hold recess inside if AQI readings are 150 or above.
