School Board Update April 11, 2025
The Albany County School Board met on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 and approved the following personnel recommendations, program actions, business items, and policy changes:
Personnel Recommendations: The School Board reviewed and approved the monthly
personnel actions including resignations, retirements, extra duty assignments, additional
duties, classified appointments, and certified appointments.
School District Business Items and Bids:
Monthly Financial Reports.
Federal and State Grants Financial Report.
Bids:
The School Board approved a bid from Elder Equipment in the amount of $225,500 for an emergency bus replacement. This will be paid with the transportation block grant.
Donations:
• The School Board approved a $5,000 donation from Farm Credit Services of America to the Linford Elementary Food Pantry.
The School Board approved a $1,000 donation from McDonald’s to Laramie Middle School.
The School Board approved a $1,575 donation from the Laramie Woman’s Club to the Student Support Fund.
2025-2026 Centennial School Alternative Calendar: The School Board approved the 2025-2026 alternative calendar for Centennial School.
WEBT Health and Dental Insurance Provider and Deductible Plans for 2025-2026: The School Board approved the renewal of the 2025-2026 WEBT and dental insurance provider and deductible plans.
WEBT Health and Dental Insurance Rates for 2025-2026: The School Board approved the 2025-2026 health and dental insurance rates.
Curriculum and Textbook Adoption: The School Board approved the curriculum and textbook adoption.
Change Order for Laramie High School Heating Plant Renovation: The School Board approved the change order for Laramie High School Heating Plant Renovation for the amount of $9,500.
Policies Approved on First Reading: No policies were approved on first reading.

In addition to the approval of programs, policies, and bids, the School Board heard the following presentations and recognitions:
Recognitions:
The School Board recognized the Jae Foundation for their support in raising awareness about suicide throughout ACSD#1 high schools.
Team members of the LMS MATHCOUNTS contest placed first at their Chapter Competition.
LHS Boy’s Swim Team won their 8th consecutive State Championship.
LHS Indoor Track Girls Team won the State Championship
Sia Taufa and Neil Summers Received a WHSAA Good Sportsmanship Award. Neil Summers also received Boy’s Basketball Gatorade Player of the Year!
